Fall drive

The colours of Fall in Niagara are breathtaking! You can not do justice to them on canvas but here is one vision ...

Environmental blah blah blah ....

It seems that there is a lot of talk and not so much action! This painting is to all that blah blah blah ...

Dragon flies

Dragon flies were very abundant this Summer. They are amazing insects. They are general predators and can capture prey on flight. They eat many types of insects but do like to eat their prey live!
I have started a series of insects that will probably will be going on forever since I have this love for the creatures! This couple is my first on the series.

Trillium in You Tube

You can take a close look at the step-by-step painting in You Tube. The initial layer was with home made textured acrylic and all the other layers were with acrylic paintings.

More on Niagara

This one has different materials to give it the 3D texture.

Animals in my work

I love animals and they come up in my work in some subtle ways, some pretty clear some you need to use your imagination... Here are some examples. You can find rabbits, wolf, dancing pig and more.. or can you?

The Niagara area

Some of my recent work is inspired by the beauty of the Niagara area, its vineyards, orchards and escarpment. July in this area is full of vibrant colours that fill the senses... It is an amazing area !

The sun and its effect on the slopes. The snow line is "crawling" up the peaks of the Andes...
environmental issues are certainl in all of our minds. This is a remender that the effects are felt all over!

Birds and more birds

Birds seem to pop out everywhere in my work. This painting is one of an ongoing series that I lke to call the "child within". It is meant to be a light, fun series aimed for the child within all of us. How many birds can you find?

Further ahead

This is again mixed media. Small work using fabric as my texture. I love the way the colours "move" and give the sensation of depth.

In the Canyon

Here is one picture in mixed media. This one had several lives before coming to an end in this colour scheme. The arrival of Spring really finished the tone on this painting. This one is at the Mosaika Gallery In Jordan, Ontario.
